Maybelles
It’s bluegrass. I’m officially a Maybelles groupie since I saw them at Grey Fox (below) and saw them in Brooklyn earlier tonight at Jalopy (top). The WordPress gallery feature doesn’t work in this oldass theme. I have to fix it before I post everything else.
Caught in the Rain

People Rock On Despite the Rain
There has been a lot of rain again and I have been absent because I’m getting things done. This photo sort of represents the spirit of people who go out and have fun in bad weather. I’ll be on tomorrow with some photos of the bluegrass fest and more thoughts.

Picking and Mosquitoes
I’m at the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in upstate NY, blogging from my phone It’s an essential American scene. I’ll post a phone pic or two tomorrow and say more with a full rundown when I get back.
The Elephant Across from the Stock Exchange
At 15 Broad Street, across the street from the New York Stock Exchange is this Louis XV chandelier. This is one of the stupidest uses of lobby space ever possible. I found some of the story but the details sail over my head like an MIT course on computer modeling of material physics.
